    DESCRIPTION:
    A hilt of yellowish bone, with quite large truncated ears. The joining band and continuation of the hilt, and the leaf-shaped decoration on the blade are of silver decorated with filigree. On the continuation of the hilt is a bead motif. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved. On the blade on one side is a silver damascened Arabic inscription, and on the other side plant and linear ornamentation. In translation the inscription goes: 'The year 1188. (AH). Made by Hadji Ibrahim, owner Salih-Basha. May the knife be in the hand and on the tongue be the Glorious. 'ain 79'.
