    DESCRIPTION:
    A hilt of yellowish bone, with large truncated ears. Band metal, coppered, decorated with filigree work and five preserved elongated furrowed corals. Continuation of the hilt lined with coppered metal with filigree decoration of little wheels. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved, with a narrow fuller along the ridge. Along the whole length of the blade on both sides an Arabic inscription, which in translation runs: 'Made by Hadji Ibrahim-Zadeh, 1209. (AH), owner and possessor.... / From the force of my sword fire spurts from the stone /... let it go through the head (?) / Stabbing you without mercy blood and tears will flow. // Let it be always desired among men / As the diamond among jewels / Let it appear like... Hazreti Ilias / And find its eternal house in the gardens of Paradise. / My God, by you life is blessed, may it be fortunate to its owner'. Scabbard wooden, covered in leather and metal mounted at the mouth and tip.
