Nr.: HPM/PMH-000307 DESCRIPTION: Hilt of yellow bone, with rather large, truncated ears and carved folds on the bone plates. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved. Along the whole length of the blade on one side silver damascened ornament, and on the other an Arabic inscription, which in translation runs: '1215. (AH). Made by Mustafa, owner Omer-Basha. / I rely upon my Creator, His slave Omer, may he be happy. / The knife (sword) should be in the hand, the name of the Glorious on the tongue.'. Wants scabbard.
