No.: HPM/PMH-002541 DESCRIPTION: Hilt of yellow bone, with truncated ears. Band of metal, decorated with plant ornamentation. Continuation of hilt of metal, with scale decoration. Leaf-like ornamentation on the blade with Baroque ornamentation. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved, with a narrow fuller along the ridge. On one side of the blade silver damascened plant and linear ornamentation, and on the other side an Arabic inscription that in translation runs: '1220. (AH). Made by Hadji Mehmed, owner Osman Aga. / Oh Mohammed, intercede for thy follower Osman'. Wants scabbard. One ear is missing. Band of the hilt hollowed out. BIBLIOGRAPHY: Boskovic, Dora.
