    DESCRIPTION:
    A hilt of yellow bone, with truncated ears. Band of metal decorated with filigree work, with four elongated corals and one round coral. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved, with a narrow fuller along the ridge. On one side of the blade silver damascened plant and linear ornamentation, and on the other side an Arabic inscription that in translation runs: '1226. (AH) Made by Muharem, owner Ahmed. / I rely upon my Creator, His slave'.
    Wants scabbard.
    Found in Bosnia.
    Donated by Mile Suput, retired artillery captain in Bakar, 1902.
