DESCRIPTION: Hilt of dark bone, with quite large truncated ears. The joining band of metal, , with a simple continuation of the hilt. The blade is of steel, single-edged, mildly curved, with a narrow fuller along the ridge. On one side of the blade silver damascened plant and linear ornamentation, and on the other side an Arabic inscription that in translation runs: 'The year 1235. (AH). Made by Ahmed, owner Shaban. / May the knife be in the hand and on the tongue by Glorious'. Wooden scabbard, leather covered, brass mounted at the mouth and tip. Mounting at the mouth has a large ring for hanging. At the tip, the mounting ends spherically.
