DESCRIPTION: A hilt of yellow bone, with quite large truncated ears. Band of copper, decorated with filigree work, with four round corals. Continuation of hilt and leaf-shaped decoration on the blade of copper, decorated with filigree work. On the continuation of the hilt filigree ringlet decoration. On the leaf-shaped part, one green glass eye each. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved, with two narrow fullers along the ridge. On one side of the blade a silver damascened medallion with a freely stylised seal of Solomon plus spiral, and on the other side an Arabic inscription that runs: 'Made by Abdullah son of Hadji Huseinagin. / Owner and possessor Salih beg. 1278 (AH). // O heart, for the sake of one heart do not offend every heart / For enjoyment of this world, do not offend the Sultan.' Wants scabbard. Purchased from Milan Praunsperger, Zagreb 1940.
