No.: HPM/PMH-013082 DESCRIPTION: Hilt of yellowish bone, with quite large truncated ears. The joining band of metal, decorated with filigree work, and five longish grooved corals. On the continuation of the hilt, ringlet decoration in filigree. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved, with one narrow fuller along the ridge. On one side of the blade an etched plant and linear decoration, and on the other side an etched Arabic inscription that in translation runs: 'Made by Mehmed, owner and possessor Husein. 1282. (AH)'.
