    DESCRIPTION:
    A hilt of yellow bone with truncated ears. Band of the hilt of gilt metal, decorated with filigree work, and three longish and two round corals. On the continuation of the hilt, filigree ringlet decoration, and on the leaf-shaped part, filigree decoration too. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved, with a single narrow fuller along the ridge. On the blade on one side a silver damascened mark of the seal of Solomon, and on the other a partially legible Arabic inscription that in translation runs: ' ... owner Mehmed'. Scabbard wooden, covered in leather, mounted at mouth and tip.
    Found in Bosnia.
