DESCRIPTION: Hilt of black painted wood, with smallish ears. Wooden plates of the hilt, fastened on with two copper rivets each and brass rings. Band of ornamented silver. Continuation of the hilt with a leaf-shaped part of silver, decorated. The mounting on the ridge of the blade is marked with the names of the Seven Sleepers, and of their dog: 'Yemliha, Mekselina, Meslina, Mernus, Debernus, Saznus, Kefestatayus, Kitmir'. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved. On one side of the blade ornamentation with a stylised seal of Solomon, and on the other side stamped with a mark with an unclear name and an illegible inscription in Arabic. Wooden scabbard, with, over the greater part of it, silver ornamented mounting. Purchased from Milan Praunsperger of Zagreb 1940.
