DESCRIPTION: A hilt of yellow bone with mother of pearl sheen and smallish, long, semicircular ears. The joining band of metal with remains of baroque ornamentation. Continuation of the hilt of metal fish scale decoration. On the leaf-shaped decoration of the blade, baroque ornamentation. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved, with two narrow fullers along the ridge. Wooden scabbard, clad in leather, brass mounted. Found in Bosnia. From the Dr Ljudevit Gaj Collection.
