No.: HPM/PMH-000276 DESCRIPTION: A hilt of yellow bone with truncated ears. Band of gilt metal, decorated with eighteen coral beads, fitted into mountings shaped like rosettes. Continuation of the hilt cast in a piece, decorated with etched and gilded baroque decoration. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved, with a narrow fuller along the ridge. On both sides of the blade etched, party-gilt, plant and linear decoration and Arabic inscription that in translation runs: 'I rely upon my Creator, His slave Emin / O noble and eternal, bless this knife. / Do not allow its owner any fall while his life continues .
