DESCRIPTION: A hilt of white bone, with smallish, rounded ears, attached with three rivets. In the ears on each side is a decoration in the form of a hemisphere. Continuation of the hilt with simple smooth mounting. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved, two fullers along the ridge. On one side of the blade a heart-shaped mark with Arabic wording. In this damaged mark there is a hardly legible word that might correspond to the word 'Lutfo' or 'Lutvo' or the name 'Nutko' (?). Scabbard wooden, mounted the whole length with light metal with decorative serrated lines. In front of these lines is ornamentation with half-moon and star. On the upper part of the scabbard, a leather strap with loop for suspending. Purchased from Mara Schwarz of Zagreb, 1982. Once part of the Dragutin Schwarz Collection.
