DESCRIPTION: Hilt of dark bone, with quite large truncated ears. Band of the hilt decorated with Baroque vine scrolls that are lined with rows of dots. Continuation of the hilt in brass sheeting, decorated with arches. Leaf-shaped ornament at the beginning of the blade decorated with relief Baroque vine scrolls. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved. On one side of the blade is a damascened arabesque with an Arabic inscription that in translation runs '1221. (AH) // Made by Ali, owner Hajdar. // This knife should be in the hand and [the Glorious] on the tongue'. On the other side a damascened plant and linear ornament. Along the ridge of the blade, a narrow fuller. Purchased from Irislav Dolenec, 2005.
