All around, nails with decorative brass ringlets on both sides. Joining band and continuation of hilt wrought together with blade. The blade is of steel, single-edged, curved, with fuller along the hilt. On the interior side of the joining band the marking: 81.L(and).W(ehr).B(ataillon).153. Wants scabbard.
